Chapter 2. Return

The Tibetans believe that the human body has two elements inherited from our father and mother that uphold our life force as a skeleton. The upper part is a white element given to us by our father. The bottom one is a red element that we get from our mother. And the wind blows between them. The life wind stops when a human being takes his last breath. At this point, the paternal and maternal elements move towards each other and collide somewhere at the heart level of the body. A straight line appears on the encephalogram, with means cessation of heartbeat and brain activity. And it means death. But as long as a person remains alive, the wind blows.
