Aleksandra Mikhailova is an interdisciplinary artist, journalist and anthropologist. Graduate of the Academy of Art and Documentary Photography “Fotografika”, 2nd year student of Art & Science Master’s program of ITMO University, collaborates with the ‘Takie dela’ and ‘Republic’ issues.
Aleksandra works with documentary photography and hybrid art technologies. Author of the multimedia project ‘Defective pixels’ that was Honorable Mentioned by the Jury of “Young Russian Photocontest” — 2021 (Kaluga). Aleksandra explores the issues of individual and collective memory, the continuity of generations, human migration.
For a long time, Aleksandra lived in Yakutia and London. Currently she lives and works in St. Petersburg.
